Travelling on the Overnight Train from Singapore to Malaysia was quite the experience. For only about AUD$30 (about US$24), you can get a sleeper cabin, which is really like a hospital bed ! If you choose this option, please make sure you BYO blanket as they only provide very thin sheets - if you chose the air conditioned option as i did, a blanket is definitely required!!
